How to play Trail

The daily path puzzle in Puzzle Hubs

Trail is a logic puzzle played on a square grid. Some squares hold numbers. Your goal is to draw a single path that starts on 1, passes every number in order, visits every square exactly once and ends on the highest number. A new Trail puzzle is published every day, and everyone plays the same one.

Try a small Trail puzzle on the home page before you download the app.

The rules

  1. Start on 1. Touch the square with the number 1 to begin.
  2. Move to a neighbouring square. Drag up, down, left or right. Diagonal moves are not allowed, and you cannot cross a wall drawn between two squares.
  3. Pass the numbers in order. Reach 2, then 3, and so on. A number cannot be entered before its turn.
  4. Fill every square. Each square is visited exactly once, and the path finishes on the highest number.

Made a wrong turn? Drag back along your path to undo, use Undo to step back one square, or Clear to start over.

Daily puzzle and leaderboard

The daily puzzle changes every day. When you solve it, your time and the number of hints you used are sent to the daily leaderboard, where fewer hints always rank first and faster times break ties. Solve on consecutive days to build your streak.
